Tamron Hall Become First Black Woman Co-Anchor of Today Show

I’m super excited for Tamron Hall of MSNBC’s News Nation as she officially joins the Today Show as co-host of their “Today’s Take” segment along with Natalie Morales, Willie Geist and Al Roker.

Tamron has been filling in on the show in various capacities and has always done an amazing job with her snappy statements and girl next door persona.

I met Tamron over 10 years ago, at the time I was dating her best friend from college and went to stay with her in her home when she worked for Fox News in Chicago. We accompanied her to a live New Year’s Eve broadcast and her co-workers kept mixing us up. Go figure!  She was super cool, down to earth and a great person that I had an amazing time with.

To see her evolution on TV and the steps she has taken to further her career in such an impressive way is inspirational and definitely something to be proud of. She is a strong woman who can hold her own and stays in control of her interviews. I have seen her check a few people who have tried to disrespect her, she is definitely a boss lady! #SUPERWOMAN

Tamron holds a broadcast journalism degree from Temple University and has over ten years of experience primarily in politics.

Check out the interview Tamron gave to Essence.com about her new job at the Today Show. Congratulations Tamron!
